What makes an awesome leader?
It is hard to believe that it is Week 4 of Term 4, where does the year go! I can hardly believe that in a few weeks we will all be getting ready for the Summer holidays. Bring on the warm weather and lazy days watching the Black Caps.
This week our topic is about Change and Kids issues. Over the past few weeks Aotearoa has gone through some pretty big changes. We have a new Government lead by Jacinda Ardern, who is now our 40th Prime Minister. The Government has made several big promises around supporting children to thrive and succeed. We want to hear about change in your space and how to make it sustainable and what issues are facing our Kiwi kids.
When Jacinda Ardern was offered the leadership of her party she said "When opportunities come up, say 'Yep, I can do that job'." Could you be the change in your community?
This weeks questions:
The government of New Zealand effects us because they make decisions to lead our country.

This weeks questions:
1) What skills or qualities does a person need to have to be a Leader of a Country? Do you have these skills?
If you want to lead a country you need to be a strong and confident person that can make confident decisions. I do't think that i am very confident but i can make good choices in a group.
2) How does the Government of New Zealand affect you?
The government of New Zealand effects us because they make decisions to lead our country.
3) If you wanted to change something at your School, what would it be?
How would you go about making that change? Could you lead that change and what skills would you need?
The thing I would change at our school it would be that we get to pick and injury topic out of a certain category. I think it is a good change because kids will be more engaged in their learning because they get to pick a topic. I would make that change by showing that kids will get it done quicker because they want to do their work, the skills i will need is confidence because i will have to prove that it works.
4)What problems do you think New Zealand children are facing? Why are they having these problems?
Not being able to complete all of their work maybe because of after school activities or a meeting during work time.
5) How could we help the children who are having these problems?
Adding extra time on a friday afternoon or sometime during the week were you can finish and complete all of you work.
6) Does your School do anything to help your local community? (Fundraising etc)
Yes when the school has mufti days or special days we bring a gold coin to help a certain fundraiser. sometimes we can raise 100 dollars for a fundraiser.
7) What is more important - helping yourself or helping others?
I think both because if you help yourself it makes you happy, but if you help others it can also make you and others happy and sometimes it can make you feel proud of what you have done to help other people.
Hello Ozzy I like the way you write so much and always know how to make it interesting :)
