1) Research the history of athlectics - when did it all start, why did it start, what country did it originate from? etc. See if you can find some information out. Type out your answers below.
Athelics started 776 BC, when Koroibos, a cook from the nearby city of Elis, won a stadium race.
2) Explain what you did well on athletics day?
I did well in long jump because I got a three, in Sprints I got 3rd place and fifth place and my team came first in the team buliding exercises.
3) Explain what you could have done better with during athletics day?
Maybe tried harder with discuss and shotput because I didnt know how to throw it so next year I will learn how to throw it.
4) What was your least favourite event and why?
I didn't like high jump because I didn't know how to do high jump and it was my first time ever doing it.
5) What is your favourite event and why?
I really liked the team buliding event because it was fun and challenging.
6) Explain how you showed REP on athletics day?
I showed perserverance by perservering through the activites.
7) What was your favourite discipline while practising with your class? Explain why.
I liked doing the rotation running around the school field because we got to practise running in teams and I got faster.
8) If you could add any athletics event what would it be and why?
Maybe hurdles because it combines running and jumping.
9) What is your Year 9 athletics goal? Suprise, Suprise - yes there is athletics at high school!
High jump and maybe getting 1st or 2nd on the sprints.
10) Are you keen to keep practising athletics events even when our school athletics is over? If yes - what discipline / If no - why
I think I will practise because then when school practise comes around and I get it I will know that I have practised enough.
