WHY YOU SHOULD GET A PET - KAITLYN
Good day everyone! How many of you LOVE cats or dogs? How many of you have tried and failed to convince your parents to get a pet? How many of you wish you could have a dog or a cat? For this persuasive speech I think everyone should have a pet as they are great companions fur-ever and purr-fect pets to have around in the house!

Firstly, pets can reduce your stress levels and keep you fit and healthy. (Especially dogs) How many of you feel stressed sometimes? Well did you know Dogs and cats both reduce stress levels, but each species has its own benefits, like dogs can reduce anxiety and depression while cats reduce risk of a stroke. Pets also dramatically increase immunity and prevent allergies and a study found that children ages 5 to 7 from pet-owning households attend school three weeks more per year than those who don't have pets. Pets also help children emotionally develop.

Secondly, Each of the two pets, cats and dogs, have their own benefits beside health, like life style. If you prefer a life indoors and want a companion maybe you would prefer a cat, or maybe you like to be outdoors and play sport so a dog would suit you more.

Thirdly, How many of you get bored a lot? How many of you wish that you could do something when you’re waiting for your toast or dinner? The answer is simple: Pets. They are great companions and they cure your boredom in seconds! You can teach them tricks and give them lots of affection. Trust me my cat LOVES affection!

Fourthly, pets can improve your mood a lot, and they are using dogs at Walter Reed Army Medical Center to help soldiers dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder. How many of you come home after having a really, really, really bad day thinking that it can’t get even more worse, but then it does making the day a cat-as-trope! Well if you had a pet you can talk to them and they improve your mood, making your day go from horrible and gloomy to bright and cheerful! My cat always greets me when I have had a horrible day and he always cheers me up!

Finally, Dogs can make fantastic service companions like guard dogs, blind dogs and police dogs when trained, and cats require less cleaning and grooming as they groom themselves and are independent.

In conclusion, cats and dogs are the best pets IN THE WORLD! They have So many benefits and can make your life healthy and happy. So they are Purr-fect companions fur-ever!
